Tourism in Sri Lanka
A promotional website for Sri Lanka's tourism industry, built entirely with vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to showcase destinations, culture, and travel experiences.
Problem
Sri Lanka's tourism industry needed a modern web presence that could showcase the country's diverse destinations and cultural heritage. Existing promotional sites were often static, hard to navigate, and did not provide an engaging visual experience for potential travellers.
Approach
Designed and developed a multi-section promotional website from scratch using pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Focused on visual storytelling, intuitive navigation, and responsive layouts that work across desktop and mobile devices without relying on a CSS framework.
Context
Built as a frontend-focused project for the Sri Lankan tourism sector, this site reimagines how visitors discover destinations, cultural highlights, and travel inspiration. The entire interface was hand-crafted without frameworks, giving full control over layout, animations, and user interactions.
